Neuerscheinung "四聲通解를 기반으로 한 “韻會譯訓“의 구성" (2017)

Rainer Dormels

(2017): 四聲通解를 기반으로 한 “韻會譯訓“의 구성 (A Construction of  “Yun hui, Transliterated and Glossed”, based on Sasǒngt’onghae). 학고방 Hakgobang. 299 p.

The aim of this research was to construct the “Yun-hui, Transliterated and Glossed”, which shows Chinese pronunciations of the characters in the Ku-chin yün-hui chü-yao in Korean letters as if Choe Se-jin had written it on the basis of the Sasǒng-t’onghae. Since it is easy to construct the letters of the initial and final sounds this research is limited on letters of the medial sounds.

Neuerscheinung "North Korea's Cities" (2014)

Rainer Dormels

"North Korea's Cities - Industrial facilities, internal structures and typification"

2014, ISBN 978-89-6297-167, 544 Seiten, brosch.

An analysis of 27 cities of the DPR Korea in the context of two quantitative studies. Of primary importance in this context is the equipment of towns with industrial companies as well as the internal structure of the cities. Further descriptions not only serve the purpose of making the script less monotonous but also provide a better understanding of the quantitative study. The pictures inside were taken by the author himself, which should emphasize the research topics that viewed from three different points of view. The first approach deals with the facilities of cities, especially with the industrial plants, the other ones are a methodological study of the structure of cities of North Korea and the elaboration of particular characteristics of these cities. The results of the research demonstrated, on the one hand, the interrelations between the cities (population shares, numbers of factories, etc.) and on other hand details of each of these 27 cities researched from all three approaches.
